VPN client connects but can't ping any hosts Below is the configuration of a PIX 501, which I want to accept connections from VPN software clients. That is correct, the server in Azure is unable to ping the NFS Server in Europe. Internally and via our VPN (when connected via our Cisco VPN client), we are successfully able to ping and tracert to this NFS share. Jul 24, 2019 Oct 28, 2016 · I have a local server where the Server name is setup with the server IP address. I can ping the server name or the IP address from my Win/10 PC. I also connect to several other companies using a VPN connection. When I am connected to one of the VPNs, I can no longer ping to my server name, only my server IP Address. I was querying the netbios name, domain name, and server FQDN via nslookup and all gave successful addresses. When using ping, it doesn't even resolve the address as it "cannot be found". Pinging via IP works. I have configured the VPN nic to append a dns suffix. All clients are on W10 1607 (that are affected) Thanks
