WAN IP should be a public IP address. The WAN IP is assigned dynamically by ISP. If the WAN IP address of the router is not a public IP address, but a private IP address, that means there is another NAT device connected to the WAN port of the router. You need to open the service ports on that device as well. Comcast business modem 3941B will NOT forward ports..NO MATTER WHAT COMCAST SAYS!! As IT/admin for my company, I've had to deal with this router many times. I have tried to open ports on many occasions - ALL FAILED - whether it's a web server, mail server or security cameras, etc. If Windows does not detect your serial (COM) ports, you may need to have a computer technician check to see if the ports are disabled in the BIOS settings. Serial (COM) Ports are detected by Windows and there are no conflicts, but the foot pedal still does not work. There may be a problem with the serial port itself. If it's not, then you have a double NAT issue. But if you have the same IP and still not opening the ports, you may try to check it directly to the modem. There are some ISPs that blocks uncommon ports and you may have to contact them to open it.---

When I open the game application, it automatically opens the ports the app requires (7171 an 7172) and after 5 minutes, port 7171 closes by itself, then after 50 minutes it would randomly open. (I believe, I'm not sure about the port opening by itself again) Its pretty weird because port 7172 never really closes until I closed the game application.
